Edward Everett Evans (November 30, 1893 – December 2, 1958) was an American science fiction author and fan. His works included the novels Man of Many Minds (1953), The Planet Mappers (1955), Alien Minds (1955), and the posthumously-published collaboration with E. E. "Doc" Smith Masters of Space (1976); and the collection Food for Demons (1971).

I originally purchased this book in 1959, as a Pyramid Book. Fantasy Press was the publisher, and unfortunately they did a lousy job of binding the book. Pages of the book started falling out before I even finished reading it. So, it sat in a plastic bag for many years, until recently. I wanted to reread a book that I had found hard to put down. the glue has completely failed and all of the pages are now individual. It's back in the bag, sigh.I recently received your reprint, and reread the book in about an hour and a half. THANKS! The reprint now sits next to the original, but not in a bag. Next time that I want to reread it, it won't be 50 years later.
My only criticism is, could you maybe make the print a little bolder? At age 65 faint lettering is getting harder to read.

fantastic read
Man, I read this when I was young, and my original cheap paperback copy was falling apart
and missing pages...Great to find one. Like an old friend I hadn't seen in decades.
Great example of early sci-fi!

Good book.
I have re-read this book many times over the years until the book format got worn out and got it as a kindle edition to continue to enjoy it in the future. The story creates an imaginary and/or possible world in the future that stretches a person's imagination and creativity. A wonderful read.
Like the above reviewer, I read this book as a boy also. The book was for me very inspirational as a child, and so inspiring and imaginative that nearly 50 years later I am happy to have found it again. The book, in fact, was first found at a time early enough in my life that it inspired me to consider very seriously a career in science. At the time I read the Man of Many Minds, our own space program was still in its infant years.
I also found another book today I enjoyed as a boy, The Indian Mummy Mystery. You can believe that both will be reread cover to cover when I receive them. I don't doubt that they will both be enjoyed as much as the memory that kept them alive for all these years. I had searched for both titles before and nearly lost hope that I would find them again.
So, not only do I recommend one book, I recommend both of the titles listed above highly!
As a young man, many, many years ago I read this book and was impressed. I was surprised that it is still in publication so I bought one for my nephew. It has an idea that I have not seen repeated in any science fiction books or videos. It is an easy read for young people, perhaps around the 7th grade level but is fine for all ages of fans of science fiction. I think the cover, however, is ludicrous.
